Welcome to the world of Monki! Today we dive together into a world of individuality and independence. The famous little brand logo is a black monkey who is your friend and true inspiration for fabulous outfits. The establishing of the Monki world took place in 2006.
Some of you already knew the label from Swedish bloggers and the curiosity has been aroused for more. In November 2009, Monki opened its doors in Germany with its first two stores in Essen and Hamburg, where we get inspired henceforward with Japanese street style and Swedish minimalism. Let’s explore the world of Monki: The Swedish monkeys lead us past the monkey cupcake Valley and rave about the selection of the big fashion label. Besides a huge selection of clothes, we can even expect accessories, including e.g. bags and shoes that provide a wide field to combine and try out. True to its motto: "Express yourself" it invites you to a creative shopping round.
Next stop is the Forgotten Forest. Come in and enter the ice-blue flower-covered ground. Walking through the woods and look at the collections that hang from the trees. Well pleased? In addition to the mainly white interior decor, you will find colorful curtains behind which you can try on the selection you have found.
After the Forgotten Forest we will visit "The City of Oil and Steel”. Far from a clear and white sky a black clouds cover endless dismantled skyscrapers and old machines of the city of oil and steel. However colorful germs create a rise into the sky and a warm atmosphere into the mysterious dark.
On our journey we cross "The Monki Fields" and also we also get to know "The Building of Friendship".
"The Sea of scallops”- our last stop so far, is an enticing clam sea. A concept which is threatened by beauty that uses carousels on which clothes hang down. You can view remained ropes that were once part of sailing boats, luminous air bubbles and jellyfish, which’s floating through water plants. We are now entering in a huge underwater world.
A monkey told me that Monki also recently celebrated a store opening in Hong Kong. This sounds like the end of an exciting trip, but it is not quite there yet. What I want you to look at is the Monki magazine. In addition to the "The first love issue" there was already the second edition of "The Dreamers issue" to admire. You get great graphics work to face: the collection is presented, great photo galleries and interesting, sometimes known blogger faces share more pages of the magazine. It is available in stores, or you order it online, where you can learn more about Monki, its monkey and the magazine..www.monki.com
